The Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI) require all wool samples entering New Zealand to be accommpanied by a completed declaration form; and a copy of NZWTA's "Permit to Import". These should be attached to the outside of the package and available for inspection.
1. Clearly address the samples to:
New Zealand Wool Testing Authority Ltd
22 Bridge Street
Attention: Phil Cranswick
2. All Samples are to be clearly marked: "NOT TO BE FUMIGATED"
3. Attach to the package a copy of the completed "Declaration for Samples Exported to NZ" form. (Note that where samples have been scoured the method of scouring must be stated for the samples to be released).
4. Attach a copy of the "Permit to Import Animal Products" document to the outside of the consignment.
Conformance with the above procedures will minimise the risk of delaying the delivery of the sample to NZWTA, and consequently the risk of delay in testing or availability for inspection.
